CASTORLAND- Marvin M. Moser, 81, of Castorland, died on Monday, October 17, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Huntington, WV.
He was born on January 25, 1930 in the Town of Croghan, NY, a son of the late Jacob and Nina Lehman Moser and attended from Beaver River Central School. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On June 23, 1956, he married Belva Zehr. Together, the couple owned and operated a dairy farm on the Cut Off road, Castorland. Marvin drove bus for Beaver River Center School for 30 years, retiring in 1985.
Marvin attended First Mennonite Church, New Bremen. He enjoyed camping at Lake Bonaparte and working at the Moser Family sugar bush in
Indian River. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Belva, of 55 years; a son and daughter-in-law; three sisters and a brother-in-law; a brother and sister-in-law; grandchildren; a great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by a son, Lawson Moser, who died on May 28, 2006.
