GAW, James A. 79, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012. He was born in Gainesboro, Tennessee on September 28, 1933.
James was retired from the U.S. Army with over 22 years of service to his country. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5018, American Legion Post #613 and a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his wife, Anna.
Survived by his daughters, Mary Lesher (Scott), Rita Harden (Jeff); sons, Gregory Freckman (Grace), Douglas Freckman, Sr.; grandchildren, Elizabeth & Jessica Briscoe, Brittany Lesher, Douglas, Jr, Samantha & Michael Freckman, Leeann Davis; great grandchildren, Mason Long, Meadow Christopher, Anna Long, Emma Freckman; sisters, Jean Robertson (Bob), Elna Spears (Charles); brothers, Edward Gaw, Dale Gaw (Reba); numerous other relatives and many friends.
