Catherine Mary Nab, a former resident of Sterling, died Wednes day in Denver.
Nab, 81, of Arvada, moved to Sterling in 1924.
Recitation of rosary is 7 p.m.Sunday at Chaney-Walters Funeral
Home. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's
Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Blanco officiating.
Burial is at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Nab was born Aug. 9, 1909, in Russia to Jacob and Susan (Stieb) Steinbach. They moved to the United States in 1910 and lived in the Hilirose area.
The family lived in northeast Colorado for a time and moved to Denver for four years.
In May 1923 she married John Nab in Sterling.
They moved to Sterling in 1924. Mrs. Nab worked at Sterling Heights nursing home and later for Pizza Hut for six years.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Sterling Gar den Club, Royal Neighbors and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include six sons, Don, John and Kenny, all of Sterling; Alan of Atwood, Jerry of Fresno, Calif., and Albert of Grants Pass, Ore.; eight daughters, Rosemary Weingardt of Sterling, Caroline Simants of Garland, Tex., Josephine Zeliff of Thornton, Pauline Michael of Arvada, Janice Townsend of Fresno, Shirley Jones of Golden Valley, Ariz., Lorraine Mollendor of Riviera, Ariz., and Patty Vigil of Grand Junction; a sister, Elizabeth Aragon of Denver; 45 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 3, 1965, and by a son, Val.
